website-4There is no difference between a podiatrist and a chiropodist, but the term podiatrist is more commonly used in English speaking countries.

Podiatrists/Chiropodists assess, diagnose and treat their own patients.  They will treat patients from small children to the elderly.  We specialise in preventative care and the treatment of problems affecting the lower limb.

It is now no longer possible to train as a chiropodist as the training is currently a three year degree course leading to a podiatry degree. Podiatrists need to be registered with the HCPC . The Health Care Professions Council is an independent body who regulate the profession to maintain professional standards.
